DEMOCRATIC PARTY OVERWHELMINGLY VOTES TO ENDORSE DAVE MIN

IRVINE, CA — Dave Min, the leading Democratic candidate for California's 47th Congressional District, has officially been placed on the consent calendar to receive the endorsement of the California Democratic Party, after receiving over 70% in the election of Democratic party activists and club representatives in the district. With a record of legislative accomplishment, strong public polling, a commanding  coalition of support, and the top fundraiser, Democrats who know CA-47 best resoundingly believe that Min is the strongest and most qualified candidate to be the party’s nominee and keep this seat blue.

“I am so grateful to our local Democratic activists for all they do,” said Dave Min. “These are the teachers, nurses, lawyers, bus drivers, and retirees who carry our party forward, not only during our election cycles but also during those times when no one else is paying attention. I’m honored to have received such a broad and sweeping coalition of support from the people who know this part of Orange County best. I know that with their support, we will be in a strong position to win next November and to help elect Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker of the House, and end the cycle of incompetence, insurrection, and Trumpism that have paralyzed Congress over the past nine months.”

The Democratic Party’s strong recommendation for endorsement follows the Orange County Labor Federation endorsement, and endorsements from the powerful Service Employees International Union of California,California Federation of Teachers, Teamsters, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), the International Union of Painters and Associated Trades (IUPAT), the Carpenters, the Laborers, the Pipe Trades, the California School Employees Association (CSEA), and many others.

Min has also enjoyed unified support from local elected officials, with the endorsements of more than 60 local leaders. He also enjoys the most important endorsement in this race– that of outgoing incumbent Katie Porter, who is vacating the seat to run fior U.S. Senate– as well as from over 150 key federal, state, and local leaders, including California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis, Attorney General Rob Bonta, State Treasurer Fiona Ma, Insurance Commissioner Ricard Lara, and Superintendent of Public Schools Tony Thurmond.
