STATEMENT: Dave Min Blasts Orange County Republican Party for Celebrating Insurrectionist Felon Who Assaulted Police
Min: “Let me be clear – felons who assault police officers should be condemned, not celebrated”
Irvine, CA — Today, Dave Min (CA-47) issued a statement criticizing the Orange County Republican Party for its celebration of Jeffrey Scott Brown, a convicted felon who assaulted police officers and sprayed mace at them during the January 6 insurrection. Brown was featured as the key speaker at the March 7 monthly luncheon held by the Republican Club of Laguna Woods.
When asked to comment on this horrific celebration of America-hating and cop-bashing, newly elected OC GOP Chair Will O’Neill, stated that the party “has no position on Brown’s invitation to speak.”
In response, Min issued the following statement.
“Since Will O’Neill and Orange County Republicans refuse to comment on this shameful display, let me say what they won’t,” said Min. “It is disgusting and un-American to honor people who assault police officers and try to overthrow our government. Our country is built on the rule of law and democracy, and I will continue to stand up against the lawless mobs that are trying to tear these down.”
