Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Backs Dave Min for Congress
IRVINE, CA — Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC, comprising nearly 100 House members and one Senator known for championing transformative policies in Washington, has officially endorsed Senator Dave Min for Congress. This endorsement highlights Min's commitment to an inclusive economy, drawing on his rich background in public service, from combating corporate fraud at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to shaping future legal minds as a law professor at UC Irvine.
"The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC is proud to endorse Dave Min for Congress. His unwavering commitment to reproductive rights, his courageous stand against the gun lobby, and his forward-thinking on climate action are precisely the qualities we desperately need in Congress,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, and Jamie Raskin. “During his time in California’s State Senate, Dave has crafted legislation that speaks to the heart of what it means to fight for a fairer, more equitable society – prioritizing working Americans over corporate interests, fighting economic and social inequality, and advancing civil liberties.”
As a California State Senator, Dave distinguished himself as a staunch advocate for progressive values, demonstrated through his championing of abortion rights via Proposition 1 and his uncompromising stance on gun safety, which earned him an 'F' rating from the NRA. His legislative efforts to halt offshore drilling and push for the decarbonization of significant sectors, coupled with his initiatives to hold corporations accountable for climate risk, have established him as a pivotal figure in the environmental movement. Beyond these achievements, Dave's commitment to upholding the rule of law, his active stance against voter suppression, and his advocacy for a modernized educational system that adapts to economic shifts, all underline his capability and readiness to address some of the most critical challenges facing our society today with both pragmatic and innovative approaches.
"I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC,” said Dave Min. “This endorsement reaffirms my commitment to fighting for progressive change and working tirelessly to build a more equitable and just society. In Congress, I will continue to advocate for policies that uplift every American and address the critical challenges facing our nation."
A Harvard Law School graduate, Min's career has been defined by his choice to combat corporate fraud at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) following significant accounting scandals, rather than pursuing more lucrative private sector opportunities. His advocacy for economic fairness continued on Capitol Hill as an economic policy director, particularly during the mortgage crisis, further solidifying his commitment to justice and equity. Min's commitment to economic equity and justice continued as he served as an economic policy director on Capitol Hill, notably during the critical times of the mortgage crisis, before returning to California to contribute to the academic foundation of UC Irvine's then-new law school.
